I love the confidence losing the weight has given me!
Today I did a really big presentation for my company. And I looked FABULOUS. At least more fabulous than 6 months ago. One of my goals is to be a speaker on digital technology. Well, I finally got to live the dream. For the event I bought new clothes (of course). To my surprise, I bought my first SMALL shirt! As seen above - all clothes are from New York and Company (my fave store). Blazer in size MEDIUM, white cami is SMALL and pants are Crosby Street SuperStretch Slim Leg pants in size 14. I also wore some cute pointy pumps from Nine West.

181 lbs today. Like molasses it's slowly coming off. I know for a fact that without Lap-Band, I would have yo-yo'd back up by now. Plateaus are the worst! When I was dieting, I would do well, get down 10 even 20 pounds and when things got hard and the weight stalled, I would go back to old habits. Even though I have been eating a bit more than recommended during this summer, it is still WAY less than pre-band. I get full and can't eat more. Plus, I am satisfied with a few bites or tastes of the bad stuff - whether it is chocolate, ice cream, chips etc. Pre-band, I would have eaten a whole Ben & Jerry's in one sitting. Now, that pint of ice cream lasts at least two-weeks.
Officially 40 lbs lost since surgery. 56 lbs total since the beginning of my journey. It's been a while because I came down with dreaded bronchitis. Usually when I get such a horrible cough, I end up dry heaving. I was super nervous that this would happen. And with the band, the last thing you want to do is throw-up. The forces can cause the band to slip and then you have to get some crazy adjustments or even surgery to get it back into place. Lucky for me, none of that happened. However, I have NOT been eating well. I have not lost any more weight. I realize that after a month of this, I probably need the band to do more work and so I will be going in for a fill. I think a small one will do it. I'm at 4.5cc and I think maybe .5 more should get me back to green. I don't get hungry between meals, but I find I can eat more at the meals. So my 1 cup of food has turned into 2 or 3 cups. I feel the band pressure and regret having so much, but alas, I need my little pal to give me that feeling sooner.
As for the bronchitis, I am feeling much better after a cycle of antibiotics. I even went on a small vacation camping this weekend. Until my doctor's appt in September, I will watch what I eat and try to eat less and say no. I have to say, I still look fab! My friends think I do not have any more to lose. But, I am 45 lbs away from goal and I have no intention of stopping now. Here is a pic of me and my boyfriend and his son from camping this weekend. I love that I am getting neck definition (and wearing a tank top I might add!). 182 today! I have been drinking more protein shakes, limiting ice cream, and really considering the quantity of food on my plate. This means another pound down this morning. Nice start to the weekend!
